Healing the human body cannot be achieved through new technology and advanced training alone. When combined with compassion and caring, however, health care professionals provide effective treatment with a human touch that meets the desired outcomes. At Bryn Mawr Sports Rehab, our first commitment is to the well being of our patients. We are dedicated to working with physicians in the rehabilitation of a full range of medical conditions including: -
Disorders of the spine -
Joint pathologies -
Soft tissue injuries -
Neurological disorders |
| Evaluation and Communication |
Our licensed physical therapists establish a plan of care oriented to the common goals of the doctor and the patient. We have found that progressive rehabilitation programs that emphasize patient participation improve overall outcomes and reduce recovery time. As treatment continues, we consult with the physician, noting progress, and concerns. |
| Treatment, Rehabilitation, and Recovery |
Where appropriate, we combine therapeutic exercise and aerobic conditioning with thermal agents, electric stimulation, joint mobilization, and manual therapy. Rehabilitation is provided to patients of all ages and special needs. We offer state-of-the-art equipment, including our Aqua Ark, a therapeutic pool where exercise can be done in a weightless or water-resisted environment. |
